Campaign description
Trees are the lungs of our planet — they purify the air, reduce pollution, support biodiversity, and bring peace and beauty to our everyday spaces. At Punamiya Foundation, we believe that planting a tree is more than an act of environmental service — it’s a step toward a sustainable and responsible future.
That’s why we’ve launched our Plantation Initiative in Schools and Industries — to create green zones where they matter most. Schools shape the next generation, and industries impact the environment directly. By planting trees in these spaces, we not only reduce the carbon footprint but also cultivate a culture of environmental responsibility among students, staff, and corporate communities.
Whether it’s lining school boundaries with fruit-bearing trees or converting unused industrial land into mini-forests, we aim to make every space greener, cleaner, and more inspiring.
Key Focus Areas of Our Plantation Initiative
-
Organize plantation drives in school campuses, playgrounds, and surrounding areas to instill environmental values in children.
-
Collaborate with industries to develop green belts, plant trees in factory premises, and convert unused land into eco-zones.
-
Select native, air-purifying, and low-maintenance tree species suitable for local conditions.
-
Educate students, teachers, and factory workers on the importance of trees and their role in fighting climate change.
-
Involve students in the care and nurturing of planted saplings to encourage long-term environmental engagement.
-
Install name tags and care instructions near each plant to promote ownership and responsibility.
-
Conduct follow-up visits to monitor plant growth, provide maintenance support, and replant if necessary.
-
Recognize participating schools and industries with certificates, eco-awards, and social media features.
